Study Undergraduate Law
Single and joint-honours LLBs at Buckingham are all ‘Qualifying Law Degrees’ (QLDs) in that they offer the subjects necessary to go on and train as solicitors and barristers in England and Wales. Guidance on the extent to which these degrees are qualifying degrees for other common law jurisdictions can be found on the QLD page.
Buckingham LLB graduates often go into practice in their respective jurisdictions, including Nigeria, Canada, Pakistan, the Bahamas and England and Wales. Our Law graduates also become entrepreneurs, politicians, civil servants, bankers, management etc.

There are two key features of Buckingham LLB courses aimed at developing these skills:
- Our small tutorial groups where all students are expected to contribute to debates with their tutors and fellow students; and
- Our skills courses emphasising written and oral presentations and also requiring participation in negotiation exercises.
In order to find out more about each individual course, please select from the list to the right of this page.
If you are not ready to begin studying Law at undergraduate level immediately, we have Foundation courses designed to prepare you.
